U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS - Coastal patrol ships USS Hurricane (PC 3) (left) and USS Tempest (PC 2) maneuver into position for maritime infrastructure protection drills during a trilateral exercise with Iraq and Kuwait. The exercise is a surface engagement between the U.S. Navy, Iraqi navy and Kuwaiti navy and coast guard focused on improving proficiency in maritime security tactics to help ensure the freedom of navigation throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
