ARABIAN GULF - Aerographer’s Mate 1st Class Jamaine Parks, assigned to Task Group 56.1 conducts pre-checks on an MK 18 Mod 2 unmanned underwater vehicle aboard Royal Fleet Auxiliary landing ship dock RFA Cardigan Bay (L3009) during Mine Identification and Exploitation Exercise (MIE-EX) 2017. MIE-EX 2017 is a bilateral exercise that provides an opportunity for relevant and realistic training, strengthening the U.S.-U.K. relationship as our forces work together to refine and develop mine countermeasures methods and tactics.
