U.S. 5th Fleet provided the following readout:

U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander
Vice Adm. Brad Cooper spoke via video conference with Commander of the Kuwait
Naval Forces, Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati, May 26.

The leaders discussed the strong defense relationship between the United States and
Kuwait, and the importance of naval partnership to ensure maritime security, especially
in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman.

Cooper also expressed appreciation to Al-Alati for Kuwait’s commitment to the
Combined Maritime Forces to ensure regional security and stability.
