U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander Vice Adm. Samuel Paparo spoke with Commander of the Kuwaiti Navy Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati, Jan. 5.

Paparo congratulated Al-Alati on his appointment as head of the Kuwait Navy. Both leaders emphasized the importance of the strong partnership between the navies of Kuwait and the United States to ensure maritime security, especially in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman.

Paparo also expressed appreciation to Al-Alati for Kuwait’s commitment to the Combined Maritime Forces to ensure regional security and stability.
