MANAMA, Bahrain – U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander Vice Adm. Samuel Paparo spoke with Chief of Naval Staff, Pakistan Navy Adm. Amjad Khan Niazi, Oct. 29.

Paparo congratulated Niazi on his appointment as head of the Pakistan Navy and emphasized the importance of the strong partnership between the navies of Pakistan and the United States to ensure maritime security.

Paparo also expressed appreciation to Pakistan’s enduring commitment and leadership in CMF, where it has led a combined task force 19 times.
