U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander Vice Adm. Samuel Paparo spoke with Commander of the United Arab Emirates Naval Forces Staff Major General Pilot Saeed Bin Hamdan al Nahyan Sept. 17.

The leaders reaffirmed the strong defense relationship between the United States and United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the importance of naval partnership to ensure maritime security.

Paparo also expressed appreciation to Sheikh Saeed for UAE’s commitment as coalition partners in the Combined Maritime Forces and the International Maritime Security Construct, a reflection of their commitment to regional stability.
