MANAMA, Bahrain --
U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander Vice Adm. Samuel Paparo spoke with Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces-Navy Captain Hassam Dannawi Sept. 16 to reaffirm the strong defense relationship between the United States and Lebanon.
The leaders discussed the importance of the two navies working together to ensure the maritime territorial integrity and security of Lebanon.
Paparo also expressed solidarity with the LAF-N and Lebanese people during this difficult time in the aftermath of the Port of Beirut explosion.
