USS Enterprise Sailor Death

MANAMA, Bahrain – A U.S. Navy Sailor assigned to USS Enterprise (CVN 65), was found deceased in his berthing compartment on the ship, June 8.

The death occurred while the ship was deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility and the official cause has not been determined.

The Sailor’s next of kin has been notified. The Navy conveys its deepest condolences to the family for their loss.

Enterprise is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and Operation Enduring Freedom missions.
