NSA BAHRAIN - MANAMA, Bahrain (Sept. 14, 2017) Chief Master-at-Arms David Voss, assigned to the military working dog division of Naval Security Forces, right, pins anchors onto the uniform of his wife, Chief Logistics Specialist Jill Monaghan, assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command’s (NAVCENT) Task Force 53, during Naval Support Activity Bahrain’s chief pinning ceremony. Task Force 53 is responsible for logistics throughout the U.S. Fifth Fleet area of operations. U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations encompasses about 2.5 million square miles of water area and includes the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Red Sea and parts of the Indian Ocean. The expanse comprises 20 countries and includes three critical choke points at the Strait of Hormuz, the Suez Canal and the Strait of Bab al Mandeb at the southern tip of Yemen.
