U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/5th Fleet/Combined Maritime Forces Commander Vice Adm. Samuel Paparo met with Bahrain Minister of Interior His Excellency General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa Sept. 22. 

The leaders discussed the critical security partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and United States, and the importance of interoperability between the Bahrain Coast Guard and naval forces to provide security in the maritime environment.

Paparo also expressed appreciation to his Excellency for the Ministry of Interior’s exceptional support to U.S. forces, families and civilian employees in Bahrain.
